Friday Jason, Keegan and I met up with Joel, Angela, Addy, Bridget and Lydia at Lion's Park so the kids could play and get out in the fresh air. It was lots of fun to visit and watch the girls run around. Keegan went on the swings and went down one slide with me. It was his first trip to the park!

Dinner with Mamo
We had dinner with Jason's Mom, or Mamo as her other grandkids like to call her, last night. She came over to give Keegan his Valentine's Day present and me a potted tulip (thanks!) and ended up staying for dinner. She got some valuable Keegan time and got to feed him dinner too. It was nice to get some pictures of them together since we are bad about remembering to take our camera to family functions!

Vitamin D
It has been such great weather that I decided to take Keegan outside to experience our front yard. I worked hard to get it done and seeded in the fall so that he would have grass to play in come spring, so it was very exciting to take him out there for the first time and place him in the grass. I had to put a towel underneath him though since it was still damp. I thought he would have been really interested in the grass, but I was wrong, he just sat there and looked around perfectly content.
Happy Boy!

New Toys
The play group that Keegan and I go to has rubber balls and he was really into them last week, so I went out and got him his own ball. It is a lot bigger than the ones he has played with before but he still had fun with it and thought it was hilarious when Jason was bouncing it and throwing it in the air and catching it.
Deep in thought checking out the ball.
Keegan's other new toy is an old cell phone with the battery removed. He is so obsessed with getting our phones and trying to chew on them and push the buttons...I don't know if giving him his own phone has made him any less interested in our phones though, any chance he can get he is reaching for our phones.

I'm 8 months old!
Another month has flown by and Keegan is now 8 months old. He is such a sweet, happy baby and it is hard to imagine our lives before him. He is "talking" a lot now and saying ba-ba, da-da, ga-ga and lots of other sounds. He loves being tickled and has an infectious laugh.
Still no teeth, but he is doing great eating and has no problem with chunky things. He loves applesauce, bananas, blueberries, pears and anything like crackers or cheerios that he can pick up are a big hit. He is rolling around but can't crawl yet and likes to sit up and play most of the time. Keegan loves being read to and his favorite book is "Is your Mama a llama?." If you haven't seen this book and have kids you should check it out it is really cute.
Keegan loves his laundry basket!

Ocean Shores
We had a fun, but fast trip to Ocean Shores last weekend with Jason's family. It was a little hectic at times with 8 adults and 3 kids, but we all managed to survive and have fun! Surprisingly, it didn't rain much at all and Keegan and Lydia got to experience the beach for the first time. Lydia really liked the sand and running around, but Keegan fell asleep, so I guess he didn't think it was too interesting.
