Cake Eating 101

Just in case you are not familiar with eating cake or need a refresher course, Keegan volunteered to teach you...
Go to your cousin Lydia's 2nd Birthday Party with a fancy castle cake made by Auntie Bridget and Mamo.



















Have Mamo give you a piece of cake.













Try using your spoon to eat the cake.













Decide it is easier to use your hand to shove the cake into your mouth. Hold onto spoon just in case you need it as back up.













Offer Mom a bite of cake



















Shove more cake into your own mouth.













Offer Dada a bite of cake.













Finish eating almost your entire piece of cake and then relax with your cousin Addy and let your cake digest.

First Steps!

Keegan took his first unaided and unencouraged steps last night! I was so excited for him since he seems right on the verge of wanting to walk. I was sitting on the floor and he was walking around me holding on and then he just let go and took 2 steps before falling. He can stand for quite awhile by himself and can walk really well holding onto only one of our hands, so I'm hoping any day now he will gain the confidence to start walking!

I don't have any pictures of him trying to walk, but this is a pretty cute one from this weekend. Boy does he loves to play with the sprinkler! Thank goodness the mosquitoes have disappeared so it is safe for us to go back out into our yard. Poor Keegan did NOT understand why we couldn't go out and play everyday, but I didn't want us to get eaten alive.













Update! We went to Mamo and Papa's for Papa's birthday celebration tonight and Keegan walked multiple times by himself for quite a few steps! I have a feeling we will have a full fledged walker on our hands in no time!

Being Silly

Just another rainy day around the house with an energetic 13 month old!

Hard at Work

Keegan is obsessed with the computer keyboard and mouse and wants to get on my lap and "type" or if I'm not in the office he will come in by himself and stand at the chair and yell at me until I come in and lift him up. He gets super excited if I will let him play with it, which is rare, since I know this will not be a Jason approved activity! You can really see all of his teeth in one of the pictures...he has 7 already.





If you notice in the background you'll see white on the wall since I'm getting ready to paint the office green and we have a desk being delivered this week! I am so excited since our office has always been really disorganized since we moved in and it drives me crazy since it is right next to our front door and the first thing people see. I will try and post pictures when it is done! Sorry I can't figure out how to get this to post normally without the text wrapping around the picture!
