Golf Fanatic

Keegan has become a golfing fanatic! He loves watching golf with Jason and claps along with the spectators on tv, but he really loves golfing in real life.

It all started with a snorkel Jason's Grandparents gave Keegan. He would use the snorkel and a plastic ball to golf with, or if he couldn't find that it would be spatulas, bottles of lotion, pretty much anything...he's kind of an addict!

Now we have upgraded him to his own 2 plastic clubs and practice golf balls (they are like wiffle balls). He spends A LOT of his day golfing inside or out. He is amazingly good for his age and makes contact with the ball most of the time when he swings for it. For those of you who have not seen him golf in person, he actually holds the club correctly and swings it like you really would, but he swings like a lefty...not Dad's first choice! I have video of him golfing I need to put on the computer, but for now I captured a few pictures of him golfing on the patio the other day....

I forgot to mention when I originally posted this that Keegan also tells you to "watch" (he really says watch) when he is golfing and then will clap for himself after he hits the ball and expects you to clap for him as well. We are proud parents of our little golf fanatic!

Labor Day Boating

On Labor Day my parents took Jason, Keegan, me, James and his new fiancee Becky out on their boat. It was a beautiful day and we headed off to Saddlebag Island. We had lunch on the boat and then took the dingy onto the beach. My Mom taught Keegan how to pick up the pebbles on the beach and throw them into the water, which he loved, and now wants to do every time he sees any rocks...thanks Mom! Then we "hiked" around the island, a short 15-20 walk with some minor bushwhacking. Keegan got to wear his life jacket for the first time and had a blast on the boat and even missed all his naps for the day and was still in good spirits!

Ready for a ride....

Keegan is beginning to climb...oh the fun to come! If he can get onto low furniture he will, or if we are laying on the floor he will crawl on top of us, but he found a new thing to climb on this weekend...Tug, my parents dog. Tug was very mellow and just sat there while Keegan climbed onto him and sat down like he was ready to go for a ride!

Dancing Boy

My Mom received two musical cards for her birthday and Keegan loves playing with them and carrying them around her house dancing with them.....

Ambulance

Last Friday night we had a BBQ over at Mamo and Papa's house with Jason's family. Uncle Joel was working on the ambulance that night, so he and his partner stopped by so the kids could check out the ambulance. They all loved it and had lots of fun checking everything out. They put the headset on Keegan and I was laughing so hard I started crying....his expressions were just so funny! The only bummer was all the kids did NOT want them to leave and Keegan, Lydia and Addy each had their own meltdown.
