Sunshine

We really enjoyed the sunshine this weekend, especially Keegan who is starting to like being outside in the grass. He kept busy crawling around, pulling himself up on everything, playing with the sprinkler, making funny faces at us and then had a fun game of tug-o-war with Marley.

I'm 11 months old!

Well this post is a little late since Keegan is 11 1/2 months old, but better late than never! It is crazy to think that in a few short weeks our baby will be one! It is amazing how fast he is learning and changing, I feel like everyday he is accomplishing something he couldn't do the day before.
Keegan is crawling all over the place and pulling himself up on everything! The other day I came home after my Mom had been watching him and she asked how long he had been going up the stairs....um never! She said he went over to the stairs and just started crawling up them and went all the way up by himself! Little daredevil! He is also cruising along furniture and will go between the couch and the coffee table by himself. The poor little guy has new bruises popping up everywhere and I have a feeling it will be that way for awhile!

Mother's Day

It was my first Mother's Day, or at least my first one with Keegan on the outside of me! Last year I was really pregnant.

The thing I need (and wanted) the most I got from Jason...I got to sleep in! While I was sleeping Jason and Keegan went to the driving range to test out the new clubs Jason had gotten the day before.

When they got home we had bacon and buttermilk pancakes, yum! Then Keegan took his nap and Jason cleaned out my car which was really needed, so that was great! I worked on cleaning up the front porch.

Then we went to Jack and Peggy's (Jason's Grandparents) for a BBQ. Keegan had lots of fun swinging and trying to ride Lydia's tricycle. It was too cute, we happened to dress all the kids in plaid shorts, so we tried to get a picture, but it didn't work out.

Thanks Jason and Keegan for a fun first Mother's Day.

Future Hell's Angel???

I think the picture says it all! You might have to double click the picture to see the great expression on his face to really understand the title.

While Dada's Away....

While Dada's away Mama, Nana and Uncle James worked their butts off! We installed 3200 feet of sod in our back yard over Friday and Saturday. It was a lot of work, but really rewarding to see it going in and looking so good. Jason was really surprised when he came home since I had told him we were not going to do it until the next week. I think he was also relieved that he had gotten out of having to help us since he is not a landscaping kind of guy!

Some of you might remember what our yard looked like last summer but if not, you can click here for a reminder. In that post we hadn't gotten the retaining wall you will see in the new pictures. It is so exciting to have a yard after two years of being in our house! I can't wait for Keegan to be out there enjoying it. Thanks again Mom and James, I definitely could not have done it without you!

Tulip Time

It's that time of the year again in Skagit County...it's the tulip festival! This was Keegan's first visit out to the tulip fields and it was an adventurous one with me and Keegan, Ang, Addy, Maya, Bridget and Lydia. It was pretty comical trying to keep the kids close to us, out of the dirt, not manhandling the tulips and then trying to get them all in one picture and to look at us. It was fun though and nice to get out and enjoy the sunshine!
