Pumpkin Patch
Saturday afternoon we headed to Schuh Farms to check out the pumpkin patch. We met up with Mac, Krista and Tanner there and let the kids run around checking everything out. Keegan loved the riding lawn mower they have for the kids to play on, going down the slides, looking at the cows in the field and, of course, the pumpkins.
I could tell Keegan has been spending a little too much time outside at Nanny's house when he went up to a little pumpkin, picked it up and tried to take a bite out of it! My parents have apple and pear trees at their house and one of Keegan's favorite activities is to go pick them off the tree or pick them off the grass and eat them, so I guess he thought pumpkins were kind of like that too!

I'm 16 months old!
I thought I would bring back this post since I haven't done one in a few months. Keegan is now 16 months old and my chubby, little baby has been replaced by a walking, talking toddler. He continues to amaze me everyday with all the things he is learning and doing. He has an amazing vocabulary and is picking up at least a word or two a week. Some of the new words he knows are:
Nanny-what he calls my Mom
fish
nose
toes
eyes
juice
baby
The list seems to go on and on....I would guess he knows about 25 words.
Keegan still loves to golf and has expanded on his golf habit. He now wants to look at Jason's golf magazine's and find the balls and clubs (he doesn't know how to say club, but if you ask him where it is he can point it out). Keegan has also now merged his two favorite activities...tv and golf. He asks to "watch" and then when you turn on the tv he says "ball" telling you he wants to watch golf! Jason, of course, loves this so they watch golf together. So much for trying to not have the tv on!
Keegan still loves "doggies" and can find a dog anywhere we go. He is also really into reading books and his favorite is Jamberry. He is starting to run, which is scary for me to watch since he gets going and then careens out of control and falls, but I guess that's how they learn.
Keegan has been so much fun the last few months with all his new skills, but the toddler part of him is definitely starting to show. He knows what he wants and it has to be his way! He is also getting really particular about his food, like what he wants to eat and how it is served (cut/taking bites). Keegan also wants to feed himself now and gets frustrated if you try and help him.
He is such a happy, sweet boy I feel lucky to be able to be home with him!

Farm Tour
Skagit County had a free farm tour last weekend and the weather was beautiful so Saturday we took Keegan to Golden Glen Creamery. We forgot our camera, so we don't have any pictures from there, but he loved playing on the tractors, seeing the cows, taking a hayride and, of course, eating his body weight in cheese curds. He also learned to respond to "what does a cow say?" "Moo!" Pretty cute! Now when ever he sees a cow he says "moo."
Sunday we decided to go out and see a few more farms since we had so much fun the day before. We went to visit the alpaca's, highland cattle and an apple orchard.
