Farm Tour

The county we live in has an annual farm tour and we went last year and had a blast so we decided to go again. We went to four different farms and saw cows and alpacas and bought cheese, chocolate milk, strawberries, apples and apple cider.

Summer in October

Sorry blog, I have totally neglected you lately, so here are the rest of our Summer pictures in October! We did so much this summer and I was AWFUL about taking pictures....it wasn't until August was over that I discovered I hadn't gotten our camera out that whole month!

Rosario

On the 5th of July (yes, I know I'm way behind on my blogging) Keegan and I went with my parents on their boat to Rosario Resort. It is a beautiful marina, hotel and grounds. We stayed one night in the hotel and then spent the other night on the boat with my parents. It was amazing weather and we had fun swimming, playing and exploring the resort.

Just like his Daddy

Keegan is a total clone of Jason and everything Jason does or says Keegan is right there doing it too. I found a picture of Jason the other day and it looks EXACTLY like Keegan. It was pretty shocking to see.

It's a Girl!

We found out 2 weeks ago we are having a girl! We are very excited and Keegan was right! Every time we asked if the baby was a boy or girl he always answered girl....I guess he knows more than we do! Now we just have to pick out a name, decorate a nursery and hope that the next 19 weeks don't go by too quickly!

Making Scones

Keegan really loves to cook with me so I try to come up with easy things that he can help me make. One Sunday morning I decided to make scones and he was so excited to help me. I had never made them before but they were really good! He, of course, made a huge mess with the flour, but that's part of the fun!

Exciting News!

We have exciting news! Keegan will be a big brother in December! We found out on my 30th birthday/Easter that we are expecting our 2nd baby. Keegan is excited and talks to my tummy and has named the baby "Bubba."

Zoo....

Last Friday we took Keegan to the zoo for his annual birthday trip. We were nervous about the weather and it was raining for most of the car ride, but it miraculously stopped and we enjoyed a mostly dry time at the zoo. Keegan loved it!! He kept telling us "more animals, more animals" and would name all the animals we saw. His favorites were the elephants, penguins, flamingo's and the giraffe because he got to feed it some leaves. We don't have many great pictures since we took our little point and shoot camera and the battery died!

After the zoo we were planning on getting lunch, but Keegan fell asleep within minutes of getting into the car, so we just went to University Village and I got food for us while Jason stayed in the car with a sleeping Keegan. He eventually woke up, so we headed to the golf store to get him his new golf clubs. To say he was in heaven is putting it mildly! He was so excited to get new clubs, a golf bag and a special golf ball. Then we drove home and the sun came out so he could break in his new clubs outside!

Boating

A few weekends ago Keegan and I went out on my parents boat with them. It was a beautiful day so we went to Cypress Island hooked up to a buoy and took the dinghy ashore. It was a record low tide that day, so there were tons of purple star fish on the rocks. Then we went back on the boat, had lunch and Keegan and I slept the whole trip back to the marina!

Easter

Easter and my 30th birthday happened to coincide this year. We did an Easter egg hunt for Keegan in the morning, then he wanted to go outside for awhile and then we did Easter dinner over at my in-laws. It was an amazing birthday and one I will never forget!

Hawaii

In March we went to Hawaii with my parents and met my brother and his girlfriend Meghann there since they live on Oahu. We stayed in an amazing townhouse in Kona and were there for 11 days. This is the only vacation Jason and I have been on that we both agreed we were not ready to go home!

Keegan did great on the 6 hour flights despite not sleeping and loved being able to play outside so much. He did NOT like the sand on his feet and would say "messy, messy" so we got him some little water shoes which seemed to solve the problem. He didn't like going in the ocean other than wading, but really liked going in the pool since it was only 2 feet deep and he could walk around by himself.

Blogging

Blogging seems to have taken a backseat to life for awhile. I have been truly uninspired to blog lately and have been so busy with Keegan and all the other normal house stuff that I just haven't felt like I wanted to take the time to blog. I'm hoping I will snap out of this funk soon since I have tons of pictures from Hawaii, Easter and all the other stuff we have been doing!

Windows....

Keegan has been really into helping me lately carrying laundry, wiping spills up, etc...so I sprayed the windex and let him do the windows (with a little help, from me).

The other night while I was making dinner I gave Keegan a mixing bowl, spoon, a spice container and some broken lasagna noodles. He was busy mixing away so I asked him what he was making and he said "cookies." I added some sprinkles to his bowl and kept mixing away.

Washington Park

A few weekends ago we decided to meet my parents out at their marina near Washington Park in Anacortes and go for a walk/hike through the park and back to their boat for lunch. I don't know how far it was, a few miles maybe, but I carried Keegan on my back for the whole walk since it was too rocky, muddy or close to a cliff. We did let him out by the boat launch where he got to throw rocks into the water. It was a beautiful day and made me excited for spring and summer! We saw deer, birds, a seal and tons of boats and airplanes.
